Avanti is for men who want to take a weekend to pause and move forward with clarity. We welcome men in all types of transition: whether facing divorce, grief, retirement, career changes, or simply a sense of being “stuck.” If you’re ready to live with more honesty, intention, and courage, Avanti can help be a stepping stone in your journey.
You’ll get a full packing list before your retreat. In general, bring comfortable clothing, layers for outdoors, a journal, and any personal items you’ll need. Lodging, meals, and program materials are provided.
You can reserve your spot through our website. From there, we’ll meet for an initial assessment to clarify your goals, and find a retreat that fits your schedule. Space is limited to 8–10 men per group, so we recommend registering early.
No. Many of the men attending Avanti are experiencing a retreat for the first time. Everything is guided step-by-step in a way that feels approachable and supportive.
Not at all. Our retreats include opportunities for light outdoor time, but nothing strenuous or performance-based. The focus is on reflection, conversation, and personal growth, not physical endurance.
You’ll leave with clarity about where you are, what matters most to you personally, and where you want to go moving forward, and how to get there. Each man creates his own forward plan during the weekend, giving you concrete steps to take once you return home. Each participant has a 1:1 offboarding meeting with their retreat leader, as well.
If you’ve been carrying something heavy, stress, grief, questions about purpose, or if you feel stuck and unsure of what’s next, you’re ready. Avanti isn’t about being “fixed”; it’s about creating space to reset and re-engage life with intention. If you’d like to move forward, you’re ready.
Both. Group sessions provide connection and perspective, while solo time and journaling let you process privately. We design the weekend with a balance of conversation and quiet reflection.
Yes. Some men attend with a friend or colleague, while others come alone. Either way, you’ll be welcomed into a small group that quickly feels like community. If you have a full group of 8-10 people already, we can discuss hosting your own retreat with a mental health professional.
No. Avanti is open to men of all backgrounds, faiths, or no faith at all. There’s no agenda. If spirituality is meaningful for you, there’s room for it. If not, the retreat is still fully relevant.
Most retreat sites are chosen for their natural setting, but we try to be mindful of choosing locations with cell service. While you may have service, we encourage you to disconnect at times so you can be fully present in the experience.
